Dear LVI Participant:

All of us at Hoops For Friends hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season. The Boyd Group, in appreciation for those who stayed at one of their hotels during our tournament weekend, have given us some rooms to spend a weekend of fun in Las Vegas.

Our get together will be for the weekend of February 28, 2020 through March 1, 2020. All rooms are complimentary. Due to the limited amount of rooms available, reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

We will run out of rooms before the deadline date of January 24, 2020. Rooms can be reserved from Thursday to Monday if you would like to extend your stay. The extra nights are also complimentary.

Here is how you qualify:

  1. You must have been a player in the 2019 Las Vegas Invitational and reserved a room in YOUR name at the California, Main Street or Fremont Hotel. Your reservation will be checked on the master lists given to us from the hotels.
  2. Your reservation for the February weekend must be made by January 24, 2020. After that, names will be taken from the waiting list.

All reservations must be made by email only. The email address is hotel@lvihoops.org.

Only Main Street rooms will be available to you this year.

Please inform us of the following information:

  • Your check-in and check-out dates
  • The name to put the reservation under
  • What team you played for during the 2019 tournament
  • Which hotel you stayed at during the 2019 tournament

You will receive a confirmation email. Any requests such as number of beds desired or non-smoking or adjoining rooms must be made through the hotel a week prior to your arrival. We will only be submitting your name for a room.

To eliminate the hundreds of changes that are made at the last minute each year, we have two policies. If you cancel the room after February 7, 2020 you will have to pay a donation of $180 to Hoops For Friends (equivalent to the room fee during the tournament). If you make any changes (other than adding days) to your reservation after February 7, 2020, you will have to make a $50 donation to Hoops For Friends (equivalent to the change fee during the tournament).

If there are any no shows, or if you are charged the donation and do not pay, your team automatically loses their invitation to this year's tournament. Please do not cancel your rooms by calling the hotel. All cancellations must be done through us prior to that weekend. Any room cancelled by calling the hotel will be treated the same as being a no show.

If you reserved a room during the tournament and did not participate or you participated and the room was in someone else's name and would like one of these complimentary rooms, please let us know. You will be given priority on the waiting list and will be notified after the January 24th deadline as to whether the room is available.

There will be a party on Saturday night at 6:00 PM on the second level of the California Hotel. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served. Please attend to show your support.
